Cornerstone Christian School is blessed with a staff practicing genuine dedication to the education of your student and to excellence in the name of Jesus Christ.
CCS
offers a college preparatory curriculum combining the most outstanding
textbooks from ABEKA, ACSI, and Bob Jones, to name just a few.
CCS
students take the core courses of English, math, science, history and Bible
daily.
CCS
Students also enjoy art, music, computer, drama, sign language, PE, library, foreign language, and
several other elective courses.
Seventh
graders through 12th graders are required to read a classic novel each nine
weeks, in addition to the reading requirements in the curriculum.
Currently,
CCS offers a college preparatory curriculum including honors English and history for the 10th grade, AP American Literature and AP US History to the 11th grade, and
AP British Literature and AP Calculus to our Seniors. CCS also has a Research and Writing and Community Service component for our Advanced Honors Diploma students.
Juniors
also have the distinct advantage of taking the ACT Preparatory course to
prepare them for their college entrance exams and guide them on their road to college.
Seniors
on the Advanced Honors Diploma write an extensive and independently researched
paper. Guided by an English adviser from CCS, the students are required to
have an expert in their chosen topic serve as a guide throughout their
paper.
We
are very dedicated to the task of preparing our students to succeed in college.
CCS offers the following organizations for students:
National Honor Society, Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society, Yearbook Staff, HS and
Jr. High Scholar's Bowl Team, Geography Bee, Drama Team, Praise Team, SGA, and Spelling Bee
Competitions.
